Happy Feast Day of St Sebastian!
i remember when we were still living in Pinagbuhatan. every feast day of St Sebastian, people will go to the streets to prepare for the parade, the marching bands, and the dousing of the icon and the devotees. it is fun to be drenched along with the people. EVERYONE will be wet, sometimes, even those going to work dressed up. that is why it is better not to go to work or go as early as possible. moreover, everyone will prepare meals to celebrate the day.
my brother and i talked about the feast and the way people celebrate when he got home from work. we reminisced those days, the people and neighbors we know, the parade, and especially the ever exciting dousing.
